Dr. Kenneth McDougall

Dr.McDougallResized.jpgDr. McDougall opened his dental practice in Jamestown, North Dakota in 1981, following his graduation from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Through the years, he has been involved in organized dentistry, serving as president of the Central District Dental Society and the North Dakota Dental Association. In 2007, he was the Chair of the American Dental Association’s national convention in San Francisco and beginning in October, he will be starting his term as the 10th District Trustee for the ADA.

Dr. McDougall enjoys being involved in the community and has served as president of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce, Jamestown Fine Arts Association, Jamestown Optimist Club and the Jamestown Choralaires. He is also active in his local church.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, music, golf, hunting, fishing and the arts.

Dr. Alissa Hanson

HansonAlissaResized.jpgDr. Hanson joined our practice in 2012 following graduation from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. She is originally from Minot, North Dakota and attended Concordia College in Moorhead. She is a member of the North Dakota Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, the Christian Medical and Dental Association, and the Central District Dental Society. She is also active in the Jamestown Kiwanis Club, and served as president of the Optimist Club of Jamestown.

In her free time, Dr. Hanson enjoys spending time with family and plays violin in her local church. She and her husband, Bjorn, have three children.

Dr. Hanson is passionate about educating patients about their oral health, helping them to have a comfortable dental experience, and improving patients' self-esteem by combining art with science to create beautiful smiles.

Dr. Whitney Bruins (Carlson)

Dr. Whitney recently joined our practice and is Bruins, Whitney 0695 emexcited and thrilled to be back in her home town.  She grew up on a farm near Windsor and attended school in Pingree-Buchanan.  She will strive to provide excellent dental care for the wonderful community that shaped her into the person she is today.

Dr. Whitney ran track and field at NDSU and attended dental school at UNMC College of Dentistry in Lincoln, NE.  She practiced general dentistry at a community health center in Turtle Lake, ND for two years prior to joining Downtown Dental.  She is a member of the North Dakota Dental Association.

Dr. Whitney and her husband, David, have a daughter and one cat.  She enjoys crocheting and knitting while David watches football, going to the lake in the summer, and helping coach track and field wherever she may be needed
